"Is any one among you afflicted, ill-treated, suffering evil? He should pray." James 5:13
Whatever our troubles may be, God desires that we go to His throne of grace in our time of need instead of running to the phone for some other person to pray for us every time we encounter something bad. There certainly are moments we should pray for others and be prayed for ourselves, but God says in James 5:13 that we should pray. Sometimes we panic or struggle because we need a quick answer. We might find temporary relief going to another person, but eventually we end up back in the same set of circumstances. God often uses our tough situations to refine us and help us grow stronger and wiser in Him. If we will simply go to Him first, walk in true relationship with Him and carry His Word in our hearts, we will begin to see victory and a permanent solution.

As children of God, we have complete access to Him. We may have to wait or work through some issues in our lives, but God hears our prayers and is the only solution we need. He is waiting for us with all mercy, grace and love.
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

Let’s pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name, we thank you for your extraordinary Word. Please help us never to give into fear or panic in times of trouble, but cause us to seek your face and find peace as we go to you in prayer. We are confident you have the answer we need to come out of every trial we face. Thank you for your throne of grace and for your mercy in every situation. We love you, Lord, in Jesus’ great name, Amen.
